Manhattan Beach New Listings (10/2- 10/3/21)

Before we get to real estate, let's have a little celebration of how Manhattan Beach is getting back some of what we lost over the past year and a half.

This weekend, it's the return of the Hometown Fair, 10am-6pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Our old-fashioned carnival and open-air crafts market is a must-do for families in town, and a fund-raiser for many worthy causes.

The whole weekend is kicked off by the MB 10K, back to a successful in-person run this year after a virtual race last year, and a brief parade Saturday morning. (Our photo here comes from the start of this year's parade, featuring local Brownies and fair director Joe Marcy, who told us Friday night he first attended the fair as a regular tradition beginning 30 years ago with his parents. Now that's how you keep a local tradition.)

A little (more) normalcy and return to the things we treasure is welcome, as is a little time out with the crowds trying to win a goldfish or grab an interesting lunch or buy some art, whatever tickles your fancy. At times like this weekend, it feels like MB is Back.

And yes, there are also interesting houses to see!
