Manhattan Beach New Listings (12/3-12/4/22)

By Dave Fratello | December 3rd, 2022

It's rare that any week begins with two Hill Section listings, but here we are. Both do have 1970s build dates, but you take what you can get to get moving...

This weekend, do be sure to spend a few minutes reviewing this first-person and historical account of the Santa Float tradition in Manhattan Beach, courtesy of our sister site MB News. It's a guaranteed smile.

Open house times for new listings are listed below, but you can also click "Open Houses" at the top of our site, which displays all the Manhattan Beach open houses. There are also links right at the top to Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach opens.

PLEASE NOTE: Below, we present listings new to the Manhattan Beach market this week, via the MLS. They are listed and brokered by a variety of agents and firms. The name of the listing broker and agent for each property, along with any contact information supplied through the MLS, is displayed with each property, next to the price. Blog author Dave Fratello of Edge Real Estate Agency is not the listing agent unless so stated with the listing. Excerpts of the listing agent's description of each property are provided in quotes.

Hill Section

513 Anderson Street Manhattan Beach CA513 Anderson Street (5br/4ba, 3979 sqft.) is a sizable late-1970s house built with inspiration from old-world homes.

Still largely original, the home could serve well with a round of cosmetic fixes and updates, if you like the general vibe. (We kinda do. It's charmingly different.)

Otherwise, it's a 5250 sqft. corner lot priced under $4M.

From the official description:

513 Anderson Street Manhattan Beach CA"Unrivaled space in Manhattan Beach’s coveted Hill Section makes this home a true gem. The almost 4,000 square-foot, five-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom home also boasts a large private yard and access to all that makes Manhattan Beach so special. This home’s grandeur is evident from the moment you drive up; a low brick wall and soaring brick chimney bring elegance and interest. Throughout the house, gorgeous architectural features elevate each room. The family room’s river rock fireplace is offset by cathedral-like stained glass windows. Wooden beams across high ceilings provide warmth and make the home feel even larger. Light filters in through diagonal panes, transforming the windows into functional artwork. Hexagonal tile floors in the dining in kitchen room act as a neutral but unique canvas. Upstairs, the hexagonal theme continues, this time with a geometric railed overlook with an accompanying stained-glass skylight. Outside, the expansive brick patio offers ample space to entertain or enjoy a quiet afternoon with a book and a cup of tea."

513 Anderson Street begins at $3.750M and is open Sat. & Sun. 1-4pm.
