By Dave Fratello | March 19th, 2022

It's rare indeed when the Hill Section provides the bulk of a week's new listings, but that's this week for you.

Given the chance to get out and see some opens, you've just got to make time for a couple of these.

And if you've got 2 minutes, check out our latest MB Market Update video here, also within our 3/15/22 market update post.

See links and details below, and click any address link to view all photos and property details. Listings appearing here come from the whole MB market and may or may not be represented by MB Confidential author Dave Fratello and Edge.

Open house times are listed below, but you can also click "Open Houses" at the top of our site, which displays all the Manhattan Beach open houses. There are also links right at the top to Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach opens.

Tree Section

1720 Oak Avenue Manhattan Beach CA1720 Oak Avenue (4br/4ba, 3471 sqft.) is a sizable 1980s original, but with extremely inspired exterior and interior remodeling so thorough, you almost see a brand new house.

The first floor is as wide-open as can be, with vast kitchen and dining area opening directly to both the family room and living room. (Walls between those rooms were removed, now only the fireplace divides the spaces.)

The remodel is inspired and complete.

1720 Oak Avenue Manhattan Beach CAYou're going to ask about the location on Oak. Yes, it's on the commercial (east) side of the street. However, no windows face Sepulveda and whatever is on the opposite side of the (high) rear fence is not very visible nor noisy. It's possible to hear only chirping birds in the yard. Give it a try.

From the official description:

1720 Oak Avenue Manhattan Beach CA"Some houses you just can’t get out of your head. This stunning Cape Cod home is both sophisticated and warm and has beautiful contrasts throughout to complement its classic appeal. The kitchen is large and remodeled with new stainless appliances, handcrafted cabinets—featuring pull-out pantry drawers and under-cabinet lighting. The butcher block island is large and makes cooking and entertaining all the more enjoyable. The kitchen also features a built-in nook and soapstone counters. Newly renovated open plan connects the light-filled formal living room with the oversized family room, centered by a gorgeous wainscoting enclosed, dual-sided fireplace featuring electronics hideaways. The family room is bright and oversized, with large accordion glass doors out to the backyard, complete with grass, hardscape and fire pit. Mature landscaping and fencing provides for extreme privacy out back."
