Sunday Opens (8/23/15)

Don't worry, Summer will never end.

The days may shorten. The weather may change. The kids will go back to school.

But you'll still live at the beach.

Our photo here is a recent award-winner by local Charlie Scholz, who was one of the winners of the #MyCA33 photo contest staged by our local Congress member. (See more in this DigMB story.)

To plan your open-house tours for this week, use MB Confidential's online list of Manhattan Beach open houses (it's mobile-friendly!).

308 27th (3br/4ba, 2250 sqft.) is a stylish 2001 townhome with good views over Bruce's Beach Park.

The front neighbor (same complex) at 304 27th is about 500 sqft. bigger and shocked the market some with a sale at $3.540M in Oct. 2014.

For 308 27th they put the listing description in all caps, which is like screaming. We're reprinting it verbatim here without the caps:

"Unblockable ocean views, 3 blocks to the beach, wide open living area, cherrywood floors and cabinets, granite kitchen, stainless steel appliances, Viking stove, you must see!"

They might have mentioned the unbelievably large upstairs climate-controlled wine pantry off the kitchen. Wow.

308 27th starts at $3.300M and is open Sun. 12-3pm.

Tree Section

1501 Pine Avenue Manhattan Beach CA1501 Pine (5br/4ba, 2960 sqft.) is new to the market and wasn't up for Friday previews. Here's some language from the official description:

East MB

1150 18th Street Manhattan Beach CA1150 18th (4br/3ba, 1700 sqft.) is a recent remodel on a 5000 sqft. lot that boasts a bigger yard than we expected. The backyard backs up to part of the Residence Inn hotel, which seems not to be a major impact, actually, but buyers will have different reactions to that.

More from the official description:

Completely remodeled in 2014, there are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large back yard and open concept living space with beamed, vaulted ceilings. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with glass tiled shower are off the main living area. Head upstairs and find a bright and cozy window bench, one more bedroom and one bathroom with a tiled shower and bathtub. Last is the large master suite with attached private bathroom that includes dual vanity sinks and a glass tiled, waterfall shower. Glass French Doors open to an enclosed balcony looking over the back yard. New electrical, plumbing, wood floors, custom finishes and recessed lighting throughout.
