Hill Section

234 Larsson234 Larsson Street Manhattan Beach CA (3br/3ba, 2300 sqft.) is a pleasant surprise.

This 1980-built freestanding TH was frumpy and dated in 2007 when it sold to a flipper, got needed makeover but then sold as a short sale in 2009.

That free makeover has been enhanced by the current owners and it almost feels new.

234 Larsson Street Manhattan Beach CAThe home has a split-level arrangement and a not-insignificant patio & small yard area. Very bright and clean.

Pricewise, this one will draw a lot of attention for being "under" $2M (by $1K) and west of Sepulveda.

More from the official description:

234 Larsson Street Manhattan Beach CA"Elegant detached townhome located in the highly desirable Hill section of Manhattan Beach with sweeping city and mountain views. A bright and open floor plan is highlighted by cherry hardwood and travertine floors, crown molding, and granite countertops throughout. The entry level welcomes two large guest bedrooms sharing a Jack & Jill bath. The west bedroom has french doors leading out to a beautifully landscaped backyard patio. The second level is home to an airy kitchen/dining area wrapping around a spacious stove-top island. Stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and clean white cabinets contrast perfectly with the dark floor and french doors of the north facing balcony. You can also access the private backyard area from the kitchen. A large formal living room and den make up the third floor along with two separate balconies overlooking the front and back yard. High ceilings, gas marble fireplace, a cozy wet bar, and powder room make this area perfect for entertaining. The sizeable master suite occupies the top floor with plenty of closet space and an en suite bath. 2 car garage with cabinet storage plus 3 exterior parking spaces. Great quiet neighborhood, short walk to many restaurants, and easy access to freeways."

Tree Section

591 26th591 26th Street Manhattan Beach CA (5br/5ba, 3640 sqft.) is a 2001 Mediterranean with some fairly recent updates, very close to Grand View and between Blanche and Bell.

591 26th Street Manhattan Beach CAThis is about the living space, but the backyard is a big wow factor. Not just because of what it features (wet bar, hot tub, sunken firepit conversation area) but also for how it looks: smashing. It's outdoor living with high style.

591 26th Street Manhattan Beach CAMore from the official description:

"There is a hidden pocket of the Tree Section where neighborhood begins to transition to beach life. It is the type of place where you teach the kids to ride their two-wheelers out front. Strap beach chairs on your backs, grab surfboards and head west. You are just a few minutes from the endless white sand of Manhattan Beach. Close enough to go just about anywhere in town on foot and a perfect escape where you come home from a long day to relax. Congregate with family in the kitchen as you partake in culinary experiments.
