Weekend Opens (5/6-5/7/17)

By Dave Fratello | May 6th, 2017

Let's give it up for the parents.

Saturday, dozens of former soccer players with regular jobs and kids and tons of other concerns will head out to the pitch, risking life and limb (well, at least limb) for a little throwback fun playing the beautiful game, all in the service of raising funds for local kids' athletics.

It's the Jeff Goodrich Parents' Soccer Classic, out at the Mira Costa football field all day Saturday, benefiting the MBX Foundation. (MB Confidential is a sponsor.) Why not pop by and see a bit of the competition?

If soccer's not your game, there's a parents' softball tourney coming up Sunday, June 11. The Parents' Softball Classic draws parents from the local schools, also to raise funds for the MBX Foundation.

Dave is this year's softball tournament director. If you'd like to play, but haven't connected with a team, just email Dave (dave@mbconfidential.com). We need players, and you need to play!
