Weekend Opens (6/30-7/1/18)

By Dave Fratello | June 30th, 2018

Here's hoping you enjoy a spectacular holiday week, and that maybe somehow you can make it a (very) long weekend, at one end or the other of the Wednesday holiday.

As to the reason for the season, let's take a moment to remember the origin of our July 4th holiday. The colonists became fed up with a tyrant who bullied and bruised them, tried to steal them blind and exhibited wanton cruelty. He and his troops flouted the laws that the colonists themselves were willing to obey.

So the colonists chose to end the tyrant's rule. They would form a new nation rooted in a new credo based on equality and individual rights. For 240-plus years thereafter, the American project has been to protect, refine and improve upon that original vision of the Founders. Guess what? That work never ends.

Now, enjoy the fireworks.

In local real estate, there's a good crop of new listings again this week, but with buyers grabbing properties left and right, inventory seems stubbornly to refuse to go above 100.

Our video this week features a whopping 10 new listings, more than we could even fit into our writeups here today. (Not all are open.) These include 733 35th, 1604 Walnut, 220 Larsson, 3311 Elm and six more:

Some email subscribers and mobile users will need to use this link to view the video.

To plan your open-house tours for this week, use MB Confidential's online list of Manhattan Beach open houses (it's mobile-friendly!). Our open house link always appears in our weekly wrapups and on the main front page, under "Open Houses."

Below, click any address link to view all photos and property details. And don't forget, when previewing homes here on MB Confidential, you can click "Open All Images" right above the main listing photo to get immediate display of all the listing photos at once.

Listings appearing here come from the whole MB market and may or may not be represented by MB Confidential author Dave Fratello.
