Palos Verdes Neighborhoods

The Palos Verdes peninsula is home to some 90,000 people in more than 30,000 houses.

There are four separate cities on "The Hill:" Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills and Rolling Hills Estates. They all share a feeling of open space and often a surprisingly rural feeling, though only minutes from Los Angeles.

Larger lots and wonderful ocean views are possible along some of the coastal communities. The "Queen's Necklace" view from homes near Malaga Cover drinks in the beach cities of Redondo and Hermosa Beach, while spectacular views to the south toward Catalina Island are possible on the other side of the hill, largely in Rancho Palos Verdes.

A large number of homes on The Hill are built in a Spanish style, hearkening back to the earliest days of development in the area. Another very common style is a ranch style home, while opulent Mediterranean mansions dot the hillsides.
