Manhattan Beach Walkstreet Homes

Some of the most special locations for homes in Manhattan Beach are on the city's famed walk streets, or walkstreets. These streets have never had cars and never will, with the areas in front of the homes given over completely to outdoor living, patios, gardens and safe play spaces for kids. (See our area photos below.)

Walkstreets are located both east and west of Highland Avenue in the Sand Section, and most are sloped toward the beach. In the South End of town east of Highland, the streets are much more level, making the walkstreets a very useful community resource where kids play.
