Manhattan Beach Post
Many people point to the opening of MB Post in 2011 as the turning point when Manhattan Beach shifted from a casual beach town to a sought-after dining designation. MB Post – so named because it is built inside what was Manhattan Beach’s original post office – is designed as a gathering space for sharing high-end small plates in a convivial environment. The artisan menu includes locally sourced produce, hand-crafted cocktails, and small production wines.

The restaurant is the first of several partnerships between acclaimed chef David LeFevre and the Simms family of restaurants. LeFevre’s personal touches can be seen throughout the menu, most famously with his Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits. The biscuits have become so iconic that they have earned their own Facebook page.
Also look for “The Elvis,” a decadent dessert featuring chocolate pudding with peanut butter mousse, caramelized bananas, and bacon brittle. MB Post is open for dinner nightly, as well as brunch on weekends.
