Marine Avenue Skate Spot

The Skate Spot, opened in 2017, is a 6,000-square-foot concrete area for skateboarding, built of state-of-the-art materials. It was designed by Spohn Ranch, a Southern California firm that specializes in municipal skate park design.

It is located in the northeast corner of Marine Avenue Park, just past the center field area of the baseball field and adjacent to Manhattan Beach Studios.

Transition elements line the perimeter, with the center section featuring stairs, rails and ledges.

Skaters may reserve a maximum of one, 1-hour reservation per day. Helmets and protective gear are required.

The Skate Spot won a “Project of the Year” award from the American Public Works Association's Southern California Division in 2017.
