Simmzy’s is the brainchild of local restaurateur Mike Simms and his brother Chris Simms. As the story goes, while Mike was waiting for the permits to go through on his long-planned Tin Roof Bistro, he kept busy by brewing his own beer in his garage and taste-testing burgers. When his brother moved nearby, they realized that what the neighborhood desperately needed was its own craft brew bar - and Simmzy’s was born.
While there are lots of tempting choices on the menu, locals almost always stick with the classic burgers - and never skip the shoestring fries.
