A great family neighborhood of the Tree Section of Manhattan Beach is just east of Pacific Avenue and Pacific Elementary school, and south of Valley/Ardmore and the greenbelt.

This suburban pocket of the Tree Section generally allows for an easy walk to school and a reasonable walk downtown or to the beach. Families with children at Pacific Elementary or the American Martyrs Catholic School find it very convenient. There are always kids out playing when school's not in session.

Most homes in this area are built on standard 4200-4800 sqft. lots. of other Tree Section areas, with the exception of those on the very special two blocks of Palm Ave. & John St., where lots are often larger.

Homes East of Pacific that are also south of Marine Ave. tend to be the most walkable for families with elementary school-age children. This kind of location avoids the need to cross a busy street (Marine) during the morning rush hour.

On the west side of Pacific Avenue is the American Martyrs neighborhood, another prime part of the Tree Section.

Children living east of Pacific Ave. in the Tree Section will be in the Pacific Elementary public school district. Many families also enjoy the convenience of being near the American Martyrs Catholic School, and have their children attend there instead.

All Manhattan Beach public school students later go to Manhattan Beach Middle School and Mira Costa High School.
