Liberty Village, known traditionally as one of the most affordable areas of Manhattan Beach, hasn't previously seen a home sell over $3M.
Now, the future is here.
1900 Lynngrove (5br/6ba, 3600 sqft.) has just closed well past that mark at $3.125M, only $25K below asking.
The corner-lot new-construction home is special, pleasing and boasts a (slightly) oversized lot (about 5800 sqft. instead of the typical ~5400).
It was a must-have product from the start.

Only 9 days tolled on the market while buyers lined up to make it theirs.
Interesting side note: The buyer who just paid more than anyone ever has in Liberty Village was evidently cost-conscious in one respect, using a discount broker that promotes offering a rebate to buyers.
At $3.150M to start, 1900 Lynngrove did not have the highest list price ever tried in Liberty Village.
A few blocks away, a somewhat daring modern new home at 1304 Lynngrove began giddily at $3.199M (pre-completion) in 2015 before finally selling 18 months later for $2.599M. (See "Pushing $3M in Liberty Village?")
In the past few years, 4 new homes in Liberty Village (east of Redondo) have sold between $2.570M and $2.780M, the high at 2200 Harkness coming last Summer, in August 2018. All were of similar size to 1900 Lynngrove.
But now 1900 Lynngrove is the undisputed king of the LV.
