We've Built a New MB Confidential!


Years ago, my grandfather had bought a Ferrari secondhand, and it needed some retooling and refurbishment before it could be driven much. The process went on and on, to the point where we kids finally stopped asking, “When is the Ferrari going to be ready?”

Then one day, he had the car.

My grandfather told us, “I finally called the shop and said, ‘It’s time to take this car out of the garage and see what it can do on the road.’” Within weeks, he had us all out on the road course and, gulp, the 2 1/2 mile oval track that used to be out in Ontario. We found out what the car could do on the road! On the straightaway, 180mph. Yowza!

That’s an experience we’ve had in mind a lot as we worked to remodel and rebuild MB Confidential. It was a process that spanned 2 years, and now debuts this week. We could have kept working, but it was time to bring it out. Right now, you’re able to see what the New MBC can do on the road.

First, an appreciation. You all are the reason that Manhattan Beach has an MB Confidential. The site began 16 years ago with no greater ambition than to provide some data and perspective on local real estate. We're about to begin Year 17 next month. MBC has grown because you demanded more.
