Welcome to edition #3 of "Bet the House," MB Confidential's real estate contest designed to test your knowledge of the Manhattan Beach real estate market.

We've already seen action on the very first "Bet the House" property, 599 35th St. Listed at $2.495M, the home went into escrow at 13 DOM.

Because the listing status went to "Active Under Contract," with DOM continuing to accrue while in that status, MBC needed to clarify a DOM count rule for this contest. Fortunately, Dave was willing to issue an executive order (they're all the rage these days).

Now, for purposes of the "Bet the House" contest, the DOM count as of the status change to any "in escrow" status (either "pending" or "active under contract") will now be used. (For more arcana about listing statuses, see "What the Heck is 'Active Under Contract?'") In other words, the winning bet on DOM for 599 35th was 0-14 days, not 15-30 or something else, because the property went into escrow on Day 13.

As with last week, the winner of this week's contest will get a $50 gift card to a locally based family of restaurants. One person who enters within the week-long period that the contest is open will be randomly selected for a $20 gift card to the same restaurants.

Below you'll find info on this week's featured listing. You'll be able to review the home yourself, look at the pictures, take into consideration the location and all other factors, then make your best educated guesses of:

1. How many Days on Market will the listing rack up while listed for sale?

2. How many (if any) price cuts will be made before the home is sold (or goes off market)?

3. What will the home actually close for (sale price), if it sells?

Individual entries will be scored based on how close each answer was to the final data for the listing. The full rules and scoring system can be found here.
